Tea Tree oil is one of the most commonly used essential oils, even by people that do not use any others. It is reported to have powerful decongestant, anti inflammatory, anti fungal, anti microbial, antiseptic and antiviral properties, and is commonly used on cold sores, warts, and fungal infections on the skin such as Athlete’s foot. Applied to insect bites and stings it claims to lessen resulting reactions. Used in a diluted form it is claimed to ease muscular pain.
