Going green is defined as making more environmentally friendly decisions such as to “reduce, reuse and recycle.” OR By eating natural, organic, locally produced foods, you save on carbon emissions, limit the use of dangerous pesticides and have a healthier meal.

An example of going green is when you switch your light bulbs to compact fluorescent lamps and start recycling.

An example of going green is to recycle and buy recycled products.

WHY GO GREEN?

One of the biggest reasons to go green is that the Earth contains a fixed number of resources.

 Going green can also have positive effects on personal health. Many cosmetic products are toxic for the environment, and some of those toxins can be absorbed through the skin. Eating a diet of sustainable, locally produced foods helps cut back on processed food, which involve more transportation and packaging than fresh food and is less healthful.

On a business level, going green can help improve an organization’s reputation. Green business practices also reduce the risk of running into regulatory problems that may arise as governments adapt to environmental challenges.

WAYS TO GO GREEN?

Being Green at Work should include limiting your use of paper. Choose office products that are made from recycled materials. Start an office recycling program.

Buy biodegradable products

Use Organic products like make-up, body lotions etc. and source from local manufacturers

WHY SHOULD WE USE ORGANIC PRODUCTS?

Organic foods often have more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally grown counterparts and people with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives may find their symptoms lessen or go away when they eat only organic foods. Organic produce contains fewer pesticides.

An organic product is a product that is made from materials produced by organic agriculture. However organic products are more known for food items like organic grocery, organic vegetables, organic certified food etc. Most appropriately organic products can be explained as any products that is made or cultivated organically should be treated as an organic product
